How do you approach change and challenges in your business?

I gotta admit, I learnt a lot through experience. I love businesses, since I was a child.

But I never had the chance to further study in Business Management (parents' decision, haha!). But that never killed my passion and enthusiasm to run my own business. Coupled with my knowledge in the biotech engineering world, I tried my best to learn from mistakes and improve myself and the business along the way. I do have a bunch of business friends that I’d turn to whenever I’m stuck in making a decision, but often times, I’ll take up a challenge when I believe that the calculated risks are worth a go. But still bear in mind that not all challenges are meant to be succeeded. If we fail, then it becomes a really good lesson and experience.

What has been the biggest lesson/teacher in the course of your business?

Never believe people too easily. And always, always trust your guts! And ooh yea, don’t judge. Observe, but don’t judge. People have their reasons.

How do you learn?

Mostly through observation and listening. I prefer watching youtube or talking to people about the topic. And to back up the knowledge, I’d definitely do some reading too, but I’m a slow reader. That’s why reading isn’t my first option haha.
